The Ministry of Health and Prevention has conducted 38,000 additional tests as part of its plan to increase the number of COVID-19 tests throughout the country for the early detection of infections, particularly among those who had contact with already infected cases

The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced on Thursday that it conducted over 37,000 additional COVID-19 tests using state-of-the-art medical testing methods.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, expressed his gratitude to everyone working in the healthcare sector, describing them as the "source of the UAE’s honorable pride", working relentlessly for the protection and safety of the communities living in this country.

The UAE Government announced that an additional 511 patients had recovered from COVID-19 after receiving the necessary medical care, raising the total number of recoveries to 6,523.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and Head of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, recently visited Masafi Hospital in Fujairah, one of the hospitals allocated to the treatment of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.
