H.E. Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), led the UAE’s delegation participating in the 8th Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), taking place in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from 7 to 9 October under the theme “Health is our shared responsibility"The conference brought together Ministers of Health from OIC member states, as well as representatives of regional and international health organizations.

H.E. Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, led the UAE’s delegation taking part in the 11th meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Health in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the 88th GCC Health Ministers meeting, hosted by Kuwait in the presence of GCC Health Ministers. 

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has organised a three-day specialised training programme in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to implement the integrated care for older people approach (ICOPE). Held in Dubai, the event is part of the national campaign to promote elderly health and aligns with the National Framework for Healthy Ageing 2025–2031.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has launched a comprehensive national plan to support the health of the elderly, featuring a one-month national awareness campaign under the theme “Your presence…. brings health and wellness” As part of the plan, MoHAP also launched the National Framework for Healthy Ageing 2025–2031 and introduced a set of pioneering initiatives designed to enhance the quality of life of older adults and prevent dementia.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) today launched the 10th annual national seasonal influenza awareness campaign, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DoH), Emirates Health Services (EHS), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai Health (DH), and Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), under the theme ‘Protect Yourself… Protect Your Community.'

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has taken part in the implementation of the GCC 'Mu'azzaz' Project for Healthy shopping malls and Centres 2025.
