The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is joining world countries in celebration of World Health Day. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this year’s theme is “Universal Health Coverage” to resume the march of the last year’s theme which was “Health for All”.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) hosted the 91st meeting of the Central Gulf Committee for Drug Registration in the Emirate of Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing and members of the Central Gulf Committee for Drug Registration.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has announced the Visiting Doctors Program for April 2019, which features 23 doctors and consultants. The April’s Visiting Doctors Program covers various vital fields including robotic surgery, obesity surgery, gastrointestinal endocrine system, interventional cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, pulmonology, pediatric intensive care, urologic disorders, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases, kidneys, anesthesia, physiotherapy and psychiatric diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention observed the World Tuberculosis Day, under the theme “The Moment Has Come”. 

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) presided over the National Committee workshop for the National Indicators of Cardiovascular Diseases, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Yousif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for the Hospitals Sector and Chairman of the Executive Committee of National Indicators of Cardiovascular Diseases,  Dr. Mona Al Kuwari, Director of the Specialized Healthcare Department, along with other representatives from Prime Minister's Office, Dubai Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Health Department, Sharjah Health Authority, National Ambulance, Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital (SKSH), American Heart Association, Emirates Cardiac Society (ECS), Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, in addition to representatives from private health hospitals and Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced the official results of the national health survey approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), during a media briefing organized at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai.
