The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has been recently awarded the Global certification Mark (GC-Mark) for Health Policy & Legislation Development, achieving the platinum category, which is the highest certification level, in yet another achievement reflecting the ministry's commitment to international standards for developing health policies and legislation as a best practice.

HE Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP)stressed the wise directives of the UAE leadership to empower women has realized outstanding milestones including the UAE’s being ranked number one in the world for treating women with respect.

In its first meeting, the National UAE Taskforce on Obesity has discussed developing a joint roadmap to steer efforts and find effective ways to address obesity, in line with the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and the aspirations of the UAE to become one of the best countries in the world in terms of quality of life. The meeting coincided with World Obesity Day, which falls on 4 March.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) takes great interest in raising awareness of obesity through a raft of effective initiatives and programs to reduce the prevalence of obesity and promote healthy lifestyles.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has recently organized a workshop for the National Nutrition Committee, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), to develop the 2nd edition of the national nutrition strategy 2022-2030 and the related action plan.
