Ramadan Timings in Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center During Ramadan
Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Centers and Clinics Sector and Chairman of the National Blood Transfusion Higher Committee, lauded the efforts of the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah in cooperation with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center for organizing blood donation campaigns during the holy month of Ramadan reassuring the rules of mosques Imams for their humanitarian initiative and encouragement to Muslims during the holy mong.
on this occasion, the Ministry of Health and Islamic Affairs and Endowment Department specified a number of mosques in Sharjah especially in the following areas “Al Noor, Al Maghfera and Al Barra” mosques to receive the donations of Muslims.
Dr. Al Rand also lauded the efforts of the blood transfusion center for organizing mobile blood banks on daily basis in all mosques after Ishaa prayers between 9.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. additionally, all donations will be accepted in the centers between 8.30 p.m. till 1.30 a.m. Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center, for the third consecutive year will participate in the Ramadan Forum, which is organized by Dubai Tourism Department under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment to provide a number of health services and societal initiatives to the audience in cooperation with the media and awareness team in Dubai Municipality.
Dr. Mahra Al Marzouqi, Director of Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center stated that blood donation is a humanitarian deed and is an asset to every UAE national and expatriate in the UAE. Male donors represent about 94% of the total number of which UAE nationals are on the top list of blood donors representing 26-35 years old. Blood donation reduces the high risks of heart attacks and increases the activity of bone marrow in producing new blood cells and blood circulation.
