The Ministry of Health and Prevention celebrates International Mother's Day, an annual event that highlights the mother and her role in raising generations and building the ideal family that forms the nucleus of a good society.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention participated in the UAE's Children's day celebrations . this year under the theme "Right to Play" as part of its efforts to promote community awareness about the importance of the child's right to play and the role of this practice in influencing the health, psychological and social construction of the child.

EHSE has recently discussed in its 1st meeting held under the chairmanship of H.E Dr. Mohamed Al Olama, Head of Board of Directors, the importance of providing sustainable and high-quality health care services in line with the UAE vision and global standards.

We have recently launched a series of initiatives to enhance the culture of innovation in the institutional work, & get the most out of the national competencies, thus strengthening the UAE's position & leadership, both regionally and globally, in the innovation field, in line with the UAE Golden Jubilee & “UAE Innovates 2021” event.

MOHAP has obtained the Governance Specification Certification BS13500 from The British Standards Institution for Effective Governance, as a result of the Ministry's efforts in developing institutional performance & strengthening the concept of health sector governance to improve services & their sustainability.

In order to protect visually impaired patients and blind people from intaking the medication unsafely, and to integrate them into society, MOHAP has launched a new initiative, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, to provide medication instruction labels in Braille, which is an effective system of reading and writing for blind people.
